Gekisai Dai Ichi

This is the first of twelve kata normally introduced to 9th Kyu students of Goju Ryu Karate.

At this early stage, students should concentrate more on correct footwork, posture and technique. The focus and power demonstrated by Sensei Ernie Molyneux will come later as you continue training.

Gekisai Dai Ichi in translation means to attack and destroy.
